Bruichladdich – 8 Year Old 2014 Islay Barley

Bruichladdich 8 Year Old 2014 Islay Barley is an Islay single malt made entirely from Concerto and Propino barley grown on farms across the island. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: 80% first-fill bourbon, 5% second-fill sherry butts and 15% second-fill wine casks. The aim is to keep the character of the Islay-grown barley at the front. The notes describe vanilla cream, orchard fruits, honeyed cereals and citrus zest, with a light coastal freshness.
