Bruichladdich – Islay Barley 2010 (70cl)

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010 is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, and the fifth release in the distillery's Islay Barley series. The barley was grown on eight family farms on Islay, and the whisky was grown, distilled and matured entirely on the island. Bruichladdich does not chill-filter its whiskies or add colouring, so the colour comes from the cask alone. It is a pale, sun-on-sand shade. Crisp apple and toasted oak are joined by peach and ripe pear, with cereal at the centre and a subtle maritime note.
