Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has spent ten years maturing on the shores of Loch Indaal.
The nose combines ocean air and calm smoke with dry, earthy peat ash, oak, golden caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, ginger, nutmeg and clove, plus citrus, lemon meringue and mandarin. The palate is soft and delicate, with smoke wrapped around oak sweetness, coconut, lemon honey and smoked oyster. The finish carries malted barley, orange, mango, banana toffee, ripe apple and apricot, ending on dry peat smoke.
