Rock'ndaal 03.1 is a small batch Bruichladdich single malt, created as a Fèis Ìle expression and bottled at 50% ABV.
It combines several types of cask. An equal mix of Sauternes casks and Austrian dessert wine casks adds sweetness and ripe orchard fruits. Ex-brandy casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry bring a further layer of depth.
Those ex-brandy casks are described as contributing subtle hints of nutmeg and ginger, along with dried apricot and stone fruits.
