Bruichladdich – The Classic Laddie (50%)

Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie is the flagship of the Islay distillery: an unpeated single malt made from 100% Scottish barley. Its casks are chosen by hand and include first fill bourbon, sherry and French wine casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and natural in colour, in a turquoise-blue bottle. The nose is fresh, with green apple, peach, honey and lemon peel, over white flowers, mint and a touch of sea salt. The palate is soft and creamy, with vanilla, honey, toffee, peach and apple, and a gentle spiciness from the wood. The finish is long, fresh and lightly salty, with vanilla, fruit and a little oak.
