Bruichladdich – The Organic 2010 (50%)

Bruichladdich The Organic 2010 is an unpeated Islay single malt from the distillery's Progression series. It was distilled in 2010 from certified organic barley grown at Mid Coul Farms in Inverness-shire, and matured only in first fill American oak bourbon casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non chill filtered and without added colouring. The colour is light gold. The nose is clean and lively, with honey, green apple, ripe pear and fresh grain, then vanilla, cream and a hint of lemon blossom. The palate is creamy and oily, with vanilla custard, white chocolate, peach and lightly toasted oak. The finish is long and clean, with vanilla, almond and honey.
