Bulleit Bottled in Bond Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Bulleit, bottled in bond at 50% ABV (100 proof). It is the first Bulleit release under the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which requires one distillery, one distilling season, at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottling at 100 proof. The whiskey comes from the 2017 distillation season. It was distilled in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and bottled in Bardstown. It comes in a 75cl bottle. The aroma is spicy and fruity. On the palate there is lightly toasted oak with maple and nutmeg, and the finish turns to sweet butterscotch.
