This is a 10 year old Bunnahabhain from Islay, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range from a single refill hogshead. It was distilled in May 2008 and bottled in September 2018, and the cask gave 364 bottles.
It was bottled for the US market, in a 75cl bottle at 48.4% ABV.
The nose is briny yet fresh and zesty, with caramelised lemon rind and mint leaves. On the palate, spice leads to seashells, gentle peat smoke and crumbly biscuits. The finish lingers with charred wood, honeycomb and icing sugar.
