Bunnahabhain – 10 Year Old Hidden Spirits 10th Anniversary (70cl, 54.1%)

A 10-year-old single cask Bunnahabhain from Islay, bottled at a cask strength of 54.1% for the tenth anniversary of Hidden Spirits. Andrea Ferrari selected the cask. It is bottled without colouring, chill-filtration or added water. The distillery stands on Islay's north-east coast and makes a malt without overpowering smoke. On the nose, sea breeze and salt mingle with heather honey, toasted malt, hazelnut, almond and a little wax. The palate is oily and chewy, with salted caramel, raisins, orange peel, black pepper and woody spice. The finish is long and savoury, with a light iodine and spice note.
