This is an 11 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in a 70cl bottle. It is one of 253 bottles, a London Exclusive named Vinegar Three Ways. It spent 11 years in a bourbon hogshead before moving to a first fill Spanish oak Oloroso hogshead. The nose recalls heather ale, salted dark chocolate and aniseed, becoming gamey and leathery with miso and salted liquorice. The palate is salty and savoury, with camphor, hessian and squid ink. Water brings strawberry tarts, lemon sponge and blow-torched mango. The leathery, salty notes return in the finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
