Bunnahabhain – 11 Years Discovery Label Gordon & MacPhail (43%)

Bunnahabhain 11 Years is an Islay single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Discovery series. It matured for 11 years in ex-sherry casks and was bottled at 43% ABV in its natural colour. The Discovery range sorts its whiskies into Sherry, Smoky and Bourbon categories, and this one belongs to the Sherry group. The nose is clearly fruity, with orange, dried fruit, figs and raisins, spice behind them and toffee and vanilla for sweetness. The palate is creamy, with plums, vanilla, caramel, figs and dates. The finish is long, leaving hazelnuts and dark chocolate.
