Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It is rich and smooth in style, and slightly less peaty than many Islay whiskies.
The nose combines dried fruit, honey and dark chocolate with subtle spice and a hint of brine. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with toffee, figs and nuts, gentle oak and a touch of peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with a balanced sweetness and a delicate smokiness.
