Bunnahabhain – 1979/2004 25 Year Old Sherry Butt (70cl, 50%)

This is a 25 year old Bunnahabhain single malt, distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2004. It matured in a sherry butt and is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The bottling comes from Lombard Scotch Whisky, an independent company founded in the mid 1960s as a supplier of bulk whisky to blenders. Lombard commissioned distilleries to make new fill spirit and took control of its maturation from the date of distillation, and it bottles from its own stocks.
