This is Bunnahabhain Darach Ur, Batch 10, a no-age-statement Islay single malt in a one-litre bottle at 46.3% ABV. Darach Ur is Gaelic for new oak, and the whisky was matured entirely in new American oak casks.
Tasting notes describe a nose of Crunchie bar and a little blueberry, followed by rubbery notes, malt, nuts and liquorice. The palate brings rosehips, ginger and hazelnut chocolate alongside plenty of oak, and the finish is oaky and slightly drying with a hint of smoke.
