Bushmills Red Bush Irish Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

Red Bush is a blended Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, made from triple distilled single malt and grain whiskey. It is aged for a minimum of three years in first fill, medium charred American oak barrels that previously held bourbon, and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The maturation is entirely in ex-bourbon wood, which gives it a sweeter, more vanilla-led character than the Original and Black Bush blends. The nose is led by vanilla, butterscotch and toasted grain, with orange peel, caramel and walnut behind. On the palate come butterscotch, toffee, spiced pear and vanilla, followed by a medium finish of vanilla, soft oak and caramel.
