Buzzard's Roost – Char #1 Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

This is a straight bourbon from Buzzard's Roost, in a 75cl bottle. Char #1 is the distillery's third bourbon, released to mark three years of making whiskey. It is made from 4-year-old whiskey, aged in the distillery's own barrels, with a mash bill of 59% corn, 36% rye and 5% malted barley. The colour is a rich bronze. The nose brings brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla. On the palate, sweet vanilla and brown sugar give a sweet, rich mouthfeel, with woody notes, cherry and dark fruit. The finish is long, fading to cherry and blackberry with a pinch of spice.
