A straight rye whiskey from Buzzard's Roost, bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It is made from a mash bill of 95% rye.
The whiskey is matured in barrels that are toasted but not charred, in a proprietary design made with the brand's cooperage partner. The toast profile is set to bring out sweetness, smoke and confection.
The nose offers pumpkin pie, bread pudding, crème brûlée and freshly toasted wood. The palate is rich and creamy, with rye spice giving it some grit, and the finish is long with vanilla and wafer.
