Cadenhead Aultmore-Glenlivet 1997 20 Year Old (70cl, 53.1%)

This 1997 Aultmore-Glenlivet is a 20-year-old single malt from Speyside, bottled by Cadenhead at 53.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in two Bourbon hogsheads and the outturn was 450 bottles. Aultmore has mostly gone into blends. Dewar's, who took over the distillery, issued the first official bottling in 2004, so releases of this kind are not common. The distillery's style is often described as light-bodied, spicy and fruity, with mainly American oak influence. On the nose, expect ginger, peaches and cream. The palate brings allspice, lemon zest and coriander.
