Enigma 1998 is a 25 year old blended malt Scotch whisky from Cadenhead's, in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled in 2023 and matured fully in refill sherry butts.
Enigma is the Cadenhead's series for bottlings that do not fit the regular range, whether single casks, vattings, blends or blended malts.
The nose offers walnuts and caramel. The palate is sweet, with toffee, fudge, chocolate-covered raisins and madeira cake. The finish carries that sweetness on, with strawberry sauce, prunes and a hint of tart sherbet.
