This is Enigma, a 25 year old blended Scotch whisky from Cadenhead's, bottled at 41.4% ABV. It was fully matured in refill sherry butts.
The nose offers walnuts and caramel. The palate is sweet, with toffee, fudge, chocolate covered raisins and Madeira cake. That sweetness carries into the finish, where strawberry sauce and prunes are rounded off by a hint of tart sherbet.
