Putachieside is a 21 year old Scottish spirit drink from Cadenhead's, bottled at 50.8% ABV. It is named after an area of old Aberdeen where Wm Cadenhead Ltd was first established.
The base is single malt from Benrinnes distillery in Speyside, matured for a further six years in an ex-vermouth cask. Because vermouth has botanicals added after distillation, the result cannot legally be called single malt.
It is fruity and floral, with notes of orange, rye bread and molasses.
