Cambus – 1991 30 Year Old Cask Strength Single Grain Scotch Whisky (70cl, 51.5%)

This is a single grain whisky from Cambus, a distillery founded in 1806 near Alloa and closed in 1993. It was distilled in 1991 and matured for at least 30 years in a refill butt. It was bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 51.5% in a 70cl bottle, as part of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection. Just 258 bottles were released. The nose is fresh vanilla jam cakes, butter and gingerbread. The palate brings dried fruits, chocolate, vanilla cake and butterscotch cream with a hint of pepper. The finish is buttered scones and vanilla bean.
