A single grain whisky distilled in 1983 at Cambus Distillery in Alloa and matured for 39 years in a sherry hogshead. Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow bottled it in its Sovereign range at a cask strength of 52.7%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and the single cask gave 179 bottles. The nose brings apples, blackcurrants and toffee. On the palate come forest fruits, green foliage and salted caramel, and the finish is long, with lingering fruit and pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
