This is a 23 year old single cask whisky from Cambus, released by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society under the cask code G8.3 and the name Surprise Me. It is a 1989 cask, bottled at 59% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 250 bottles produced.
In the Society's codes, each distillery has its own number, and the digits that follow identify the particular release. The Society was founded in 1983 by a group of friends led by tax accountant Phillip 'Pip' Hills, as a private members' club. Its first location opened that same year in the Vaults in Leith, Edinburgh.
