Canadian Club – Blackberry (75cl, 40%)

Canadian Club Blackberry is a blackberry-flavoured Canadian whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It starts from the Canadian Club whisky made at the Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario, on the banks of the Detroit River, using a mashbill of rye, rye malt, barley malt and corn. The flavouring grains are pot distilled and the corn is column distilled, and blackberry flavouring is then added. The nose is fresh and fruity, with blackberry first, then vanilla, oak and caramel. The palate is juicy and sweet, with ripe blackberry, creamy vanilla, light toffee and a little whisky spice. The finish is clean and fairly short, with berry compote sweetness, warm oak and buttery vanilla.
