Canadian Club Classic 12 Year Old is a small batch Canadian whisky from the Canadian Club Distillery in Windsor, Ontario, bottled at 40% (80 proof). Canadian Club was established in 1858 by Hiram Walker.
The grain spirits, from rye, rye malt, corn and barley malt, are blended before maturing together in charred white American oak barrels for 12 years.
The colour is deep golden amber. The nose has vanilla, butterscotch and sweet corn, with toasted oak, dried fruit and rye spice. On the palate come caramel, honey and vanilla bean with toasted oak and gentle rye spice, and the long finish brings sweet oak, dark sugar, vanilla and soft pepper.
