This is an 18 year old Caol Ila released for the 2025 Islay Jazz Festival under the name 'The Guitarist'. It is the distillery's first Jazz Festival bottling, with an outturn of 948 bottles at 52.8% abv.
The whisky was matured in American oak and then finished in Scottish oak cask ends. It is described as sweet and layered, with a bold peppery smokiness, toffee apple and cinnamon, and a subtle coastal influence.
