This is The Drummer, the 2026 Jazz Festival Edition of Caol Ila, a 19 year old Islay single malt bottled at 52%. It was distilled in 2006 and is limited to 996 bottles.
The whisky matured in refill American oak and virgin oak, then received a final finish in fresh ex-Bulleit Bourbon casks, a route described as a Triple American Oak journey.
Citrus, green apple, butterscotch, creamy fudge and warming oak spice are noted, together with Caol Ila's signature coastal smoke.
