A 2009 vintage Caol Ila from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range of single malts. It was matured in the bottler's own casks, using spirit from the Caol Ila distillery.
The whisky then spent two years in a finish in ex-Sassicaia wine casks. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
It is described as full of redcurrant and forest fruit flavours, with notes of toasted oak and subtle black pepper.
