Caol Ila is an Islay distillery, and this is a peated malt.
The nose offers coastal air, medicinal peat smoke, lemon peel and vanilla cream, with wet stones and iodine underneath. The palate pairs sweet malt with earthy peat, sea salt caramel, white pepper and green apple. The finish is medium to long, with maritime salinity, gentle smoke and oak spice.
