This Caol Ila is an Islay single malt distilled in 2013 and matured for nine years, labelled Antipodes S.V. Caol Ila is generally matured in bourbon barrels or hogsheads. Sherry cask versions are rare, and those released, such as the 2012 Plume from 2021, show an oxidative character first before the peat comes forward.
