This is an 18-year-old peated single malt from Caperdonich, a Speyside distillery that closed in 2002 and was later dismantled. It is an official bottling, Batch CP/001, the first batch in the Peated Small Batch Release.
The whisky matured in American oak barrels and was bottled in May 2019 at 48% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, and sets the elegant Speyside character of the distillery against peat smoke.
