This Caperdonich is a single-cask bottling from Duncan Taylor's The Rarest series, matured for 50 years in a bourbon cask. It was distilled on 10 October 1969 and bottled on 30 April 2020 from cask 3253, giving 88 bottles at a cask strength of 47.9%. It is non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Malty sweetness, creamy coffee and caramel lead its character, with soft spice, apple, pear and vanilla. The nose shows creamy malt sweets with sweet fruit and vanilla. The palate recalls milky coffee with caramel syrup and a little cinnamon, plus nuts and dried apricot, apple and pear. The finish is long and soft, with warm spice, toffee and toasted oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
