This is a 43-year-old single malt from Caperdonich, a Speyside distillery at Rothes that closed in 2002 and was later demolished. The spirit was laid down on 6 March 1979 and bottled on 10 January 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection.
It matured in a refill sherry puncheon, cask 1105, and was bottled at 53.1% ABV. The outturn was 246 bottles, each a 70cl bottle.
