This is a 27 year old single malt distilled at Caperdonich in 1992 and bottled in 2019 at 56%, in a 70cl bottle. It is one of only 90 bottles.
It belongs to The Octave range from Duncan Taylor, who have matured whisky in smaller casks for upwards of 40 years. A smaller cask brings more contact between wood and spirit in a shorter time. The second maturation in octave casks is said to refine the whisky and deepen its colour and character.
