Caperdonich 30 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from a distillery that closed for good in 2011. It spent thirty years in first-fill American white oak barrels and was bottled in 2019 at a natural cask strength of 51.1% ABV.
The nose offers dried and stewed fruits, malt and gentle savoury notes. On the palate come chocolate, floral honey and a little coal smoke, with the American oak adding softness and balance.
