Caperdonich – Peated Vintage 1997

This is a peated single malt from Caperdonich, distilled in 1997 and bottled under the Secret Speyside label. It was matured in American oak barrels and bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration. The nose is rich, with orange, cranberry jam, honeycomb and bonfire smoke. On the palate come poached pears, ginger jam and roasted chestnuts, woven together with sweet peat smoke. The finish is sweet and smoky.
