Capurro Pisco Quebranta (75cl, 43.5%)

Capurro Pisco Quebranta is a single-estate Peruvian pisco in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 43.5% ABV. It is a puro, distilled entirely from Quebranta grapes grown on the Capurro family estate in Nasca, Ica. The grapes are hand-harvested once a year, pressed once and fermented naturally on indigenous yeast. A single distillation in copper pots follows, to proof with no water added, and the pisco is left undiluted, unfiltered and free of additives. It then rests for at least one year before release. Quebranta is a non-aromatic grape, which gives an earthy, savoury style. Notes of ripe banana, hay, tea leaves, carrot and marzipan.
