Cardhu 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Cardhu was founded in 1824 on Mannoch Hill, and was once run by Helen Cumming and later her daughter-in-law Elizabeth.
The whisky was matured in a selection of oak casks.
The nose brings honey, orchard fruit, vanilla and light floral notes. The palate is smooth and rounded, with honeyed malt, soft pear, vanilla sweetness and a touch of spice. The finish is clean and medium in length, with honey, soft oak and hints of fresh fruit.
