Cardhu 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Cardhu is the first distillery to have been officially pioneered by a woman, and this twelve-year-old is described as an easy-going, silky Speysider.
The colour is burnt amber. The nose has good body, a decent sweetness and richness, with streaks of smoke, apple peel and bruised pears. The palate is smooth and rounded, with gentle sweetness, soft peat and a little smoke.
