This is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt from Cardhu, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery, once also known as Cardow, was founded in 1824 by John Cumming, a former whisky smuggler.
The whisky is soft, sweet and warm, with good body and good length. The finish is clean, with oak, malt, vanilla and warm peaches, and a lingering background of smoke.
