This is a 27 year old Cardhu from the 1973 vintage, released around the turn of the millennium in Diageo's Rare Malts range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 60.02% ABV. Rare Malts was a selection of single malts from working and closed distilleries, released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005. Cardhu is a Speyside distillery near Archiestown in Moray, founded by John Cumming in 1824. John Walker & Sons bought it in 1893, and it remains closely tied to the Johnnie Walker blends.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
