This is a Strathmill single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2023 at seven years old by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers for the Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited range. It matured in Sherry butts, and 1,721 bottles were filled at 47.5% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring.
The Sherry casks add dried fruit, caramel, nuts, cinnamon and oak spice to the distillery's fruity malt character.
The nose brings fruit pastries, herbal honey, dried apple and sweet cinnamon, with touches of porridge and toasted nuts. The palate is rich and syrupy, with spiced orchard fruit, sponge cake and robust oak. The finish is sweet and warming, with apples, malt, caramel and lingering oak spice.
