This is a Japanese single malt from Chichibu, distilled in 2014 and matured in a single imperial IPA cask before bottling in 2023. It is a limited edition and one of three bottles in the Cyborg Trilogy, which carry distinctive artwork.
Chichibu sits in Saitama Prefecture and was founded by Ichiro Akuto, whose distillery grew out of his grandfather's Hanyu distillery. It works with Mizunara washbacks, small stills with steep lyne arms, and a wooden paddle to stir the mash.
