Chichibu – 2014 The Whisky Trail 10 Years Old (70cl, 54.5%)

This is a single cask Chichibu single malt from Japan, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at 54.5% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to The Whisky Trail series from Elixir Distillers, selected by Sukhinder Singh. The whisky was given an IPA finish, and only 240 bottles were filled from the cask. Chichibu was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto and runs its own cooperage. The notes describe citrus, tropical fruit and lightly spiced malt, with a subtle bitterness and freshness from the beer cask.
