This is a 2015 Chichibu single malt from Japan, matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel and bottled in 2021 as a Taiwan exclusive. Only 193 bottles were produced.
The label commemorates the Misotsuchi icicles, the only natural icicles in Chichibu. They form along the Arakawa River from spring water flowing out of the rock, and can reach 8m in height and 30m in width.
The nose is vanilla, buttery pastry, caramel and honey. The palate brings yuzu, lemon, apricots, green tea and ginger. The finish is long and woody, with freshly baked bread and spices.
