This is a three-year-old single malt from the Chichibu distillery in Japan, released as The First. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2011 after maturing in bourbon barrels.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.8%, without added colour and not chill-filtered, and the release runs to 7,400 bottles. Chichibu is among the smallest distilleries in Japan.
