Chichibu Distillery II is a Japanese single malt from the second Chichibu distillery, founded in 2019. It is the first release from the new site, bottled at 55.5% ABV.
The whisky was matured mainly in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose brings bright orchard fruits, honey and a touch of smoke. The palate is smooth and rich, with vanilla, stone fruits and gentle spice, leading to a long, warming, malty finish with subtle oak and lingering sweetness.
