Ichiro's Malt and Grain is a blended whisky from Chichibu, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Ichiro Akuto blended it from whisky of his own Chichibu distillery together with whiskies from Japan, Scotland, Ireland, the USA and Canada, and it was blended and matured at Chichibu. It is non-chill-filtered and free from artificial colouring.
The blend is cereal-forward, rich and sweet. The nose brings peach, dried apricot, butterscotch and vanilla cream, while toffee leads the palate alongside barley malt, gingerbread, tropical fruit and black pepper. The finish is of medium length, with vanilla and dried tropical fruit.
