A blend of Japanese malt and grain whiskies from Ichiro Akuto, released as the Limited Edition 2020 and bottled at 48.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Akuto draws on single malt from his own Chichibu distillery, together with whiskies from the now closed Hanyu and Kawasaki distilleries. It uses only Japanese whisky, which sets it apart from the brand's World Blended releases. It won a category award for Blended Limited Release at the World Whiskies Awards 2020.
Expect vanilla, honey, pear and coconut on the nose, then toffee, dried fruit and kiwi on a creamy palate, and a soft, medium finish.
